Gobble Gobble! We hope you all have a fantastic break!
We are so excited to get back to work on November 28th! Below you'll find out all that is in store for our scholars:
Spalding: Scholars will learn ten new words each day this week. There will be a 30 word test on Friday, so be sure you are reviewing these words with your scholar each night. Phonogram focus: ar, ui, sh, ch, or, ey, ed, ck, ew, ie
Math: Our scholars have learned and grown so much this school year in their mathematical skills! We will spend this week reviewing all of the concepts we have learned in the first 5 units. We will take a cumulative test on units 1-5 on Wednesday December 30th.
Literature: This week in Literature we are wrapping up our Fairy Tale Unit. We will create a craft talking about our favorite Fairy Tales. We will review our Fairy Tale elements and stories. Our Fairy Tale celebration will be Thursday, December 1st ! If you have signed up to donate any item for the celebration, we are asking that it be brought in by Tuesday, November 29th . The test date for the unit has been changed to Friday, December 2nd. Grammar: Scholars have learned about common nouns, proper nouns, pronouns, and action verbs this school year. The students have learned the definition of each and how to identify these specific words in sentences. We will continue to practice knowing the difference between each.
Science: Tuesday, we will be reviewing for our rock test. On Thursday, we will be taking our rock test. Study Guide will be sent home on Monday, November 28th.
Important dates:
- Our fairy tale celebration is on Thursday, December 1st. If you signed up to donate items to the celebration, please be sure to turn them in by Tuesday, November 29th.
- Our winter concert will take place on Friday, December 2nd. More information to come.
